FBCCI urges BNP-led alliance to withdraw hartal

The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) on Saturday urged the BNP-led 20-party alliance to withdraw its 72-hour nationwide hartal beginning from tomorrow (Sunday) morning.
In a statement the apex trade body strongly condemned the cocktail attacks during the token hunger strike programme organised jointly by BGMEA, BKMEA and BTMA in protest against the hartal-blockade that has ultimately been taking a huge toll on the national economy.FBCCI President Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed attended the programme of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKME) and Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) to express FBCCI’s solidarity. – BSS
