Dhaka – A female day labourer was hacked to death by some miscreants at Ershadnagar in Tongi early Thursday, UNB news agency reported.Moniruzzaman, sub-inspector of Tongi Model Police Station, said Nargis Akter, a day labourer and wife of late Ibrahim, along with her five children used to live at a rented house of one Kamal Hossain.
A gang of miscreants broke into the house in the dead of night and hacked Nargis with sharp weapons in the neck, leaving her dead on the spot.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College and Hospital on Thursday morning.
The reason behind the killing could not be known immediately, said police.
