Firefighter hurt in wall collapse, dies at CMCH

A Fire Service employee, who was injured in a wall collapse during
rescue work at a footwear factory at CEPZ Sunday evening, died at CMCH
on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Abu Sayed, 38, employee of Agrabad fire
service station and son of late Dewan Ali of Shibpur upazila of
Narsingdi district.
Sources said Sayed along with other firefighters was performing rescue
work in the factory of ‘Papela Shoe Limited’ housed in a two-storey
building at Chittagong Export Processing Zone on Sunday evening.
Sayed sustained critical injuries when a wall of the building
collapsed on him suddenly.
Seriously injured Sayed was rushed to Chittagong Medical College
Hospital where he died at about 8.00am on Monday. -UNB, Chittagong
