A fisherman’s floating body was recovered by the police from the
Meghna river on Friday near Samraj ghat area at Lalmohan Upazila under
the district of Bhola.
Local sources said that dead fisherman was Nurnabi (38), son of some
Hasan Ali of Dalighournagor union who went to catch fish from
Batirkhal area to the Meghna River along with ten fishermen on Sunday
taking the fishing boat of Faruk Maji. They were abducted by a gung of
pirates and all were rescued alive paying ransom except Nurnabi.
His body was sent to Bhola for postmortem. -Our Correspondent
