Dhaka – A mobile court on Wednesday fined three fishermen Tk 5,000 each in Prodhan Bazar of Sadar upazila in Jhalakati for selling jatka (hilsa fry less than 9 inches or 23 centimetres in length).The fishermen are-Tuhin Gazi, resident of Nurullapur village in Ponabalia union, Md Zia and Mizanur Rahman, resident of Kalabaghan area of sadar upazila.A mobile court led by executive magistrate Md Bashir Gazi seized the jatka from the bazar around 8:30am and fined the fishermen in connection with the seizure.Later, the jatkas were distributed among the orphanages.UNB
