The Industrial Develop-ment Leasing Company of Bangladesh Limited (IDLC) is going to organize a five-day long theatre festival, “Let theatre be a source of Joy,” from 4 to 8 September, 2018, aiming to celebrate the heritage of theatre in Bangladesh. The inauguration ceremony will be graced by the Minister of Cultural Affairs of The People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Asaduzzaman Nur, who is also a veteran actor.
The CEO and Managing Director of IDLC, Arif Khan, as well as prominent playwrights, theatre artistes, and activists, will also be present at the occasion.
Ten of the most renowned theater groups: Prangonemor, Dhaka University Theatre and Performance Studies Department, Podatik Nattya Shongshod, Palakar, Bottola, Dhaka Theater, Jahangirnagar University Drama & Dramatics Department, Theater, Prachyanat, and Nagorik Natya Shomproday, will perform at the festival.
