Dhaka – Five members of a family, including two kids, were hacked to death by unidentified miscreants at Baburial in the city on Saturday night.
The Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station Abdul Malek said the family members were the residents of a rented house of Ismail Miah at No. 2 Baburail, Narayanganj.On Saturday night, the miscreants broke into the house and stabbed the family members mercilessly, leaving them dead on the spot, the OC said.
The deceased have been identified as ‘Taslima’, 40, her son ‘Shanto’, 10, daughter ‘Sumaiya’, 5, brother ‘Morshedul’, 25, and sister-in-law ‘Lamia’, 25.
Taslima’s another sister-in-law ‘Hajera’ confirmed the identities of the victims to the media in front of the house. – News Desk
