Dhaka – Police in a drive arrested five alleged robbers from Joynabari area early Fridayon charges of robberyin running buses on Dhaka-Aricha highway.The arrestees were identified as Helal Mia, Raihan Mia, AnisurRahman, Faruk Islam and AbdurRauf Mia of different districts.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team conducted the drive and arrested them on charges of committing robbery in buses on Dhaka-Aricha highway for long, said MosinulQadir, officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station.
Several robbery cases were filed with different police stations in Dhaka and Narayanganj accusing several including the arrestees, the OC added.UNB
