Fizz hunts his IPL best 3/16 for Sunrisers

Dhaka  – Bangladesh sensation Mustafizur Rahman took his IPL best figures of 3/16 off 3 overs in Sunrisers Hyderabad’s 85-run victory over Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League at Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad on Monday. With today’s performance, Mustafiz became the 2nd leading wicket taker in the tournament bagging 13 from 9 matches, behind New Zealand pacer Mitchell McClenaghan’s 14 in 10 matches. Mustafiz also has the 2nd-best average in this year’s IPL, at 15.61 with topper Mitchell Marsh of Australian at 11.25. Mustafiz dismissed Tim Southee, Hardik Pandya and Mitchell McClenaghan. Southee and Hardik both ware caught by wicketkeeper Naman Ojha while McClenaghan was caught by Moises Henriques. Mustafiz secured the top slot in the ‘Most Dot Balls Bowled’ in an innings recorded against Kings XI Punjab on April 23. He bowled 17 dot balls in 4 overs with a maiden for 2/9. Mustafiz, who is mesmerizing the world cricket fraternity with magical bowling from his international debut, conceded 203 runs off 198 balls in this year’s IPL, an economy rate of 6.15. He is in the 5th place of the economical bowlers list. In the day’s match, sent in to bat first, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 177 for 3 in 20 overs with two half centuries by Shikhar Dhawan and skipper David Warner. Dhawan hit unbeaten 82 while Warner scored 48 and Yuvraj Singh added 39 runs. Harbhajan Singh took two wickets for 29 runs for the side. Chasing the winning target of 178, Mumbai Indians finished their innings at 92 all out in 16.3 overs.
