Four-day international confce on bio-statistics begins at RU

Dhaka – Organized by Statistics department of Rajshahi University (RU) and Bangladesh Bio-informatics and Computational Biology Association (BBCBA) a 4-day long international conference on “Bio-informatics and Bio-statistics for Agriculture, Health and Environment” began at RU campus on Friday.The inaugurating session of the conference was held at senate building of the university. Presided over by university VC Professor Dr. Muhammad Mizanuddin, Professor Dr. Md. Yousuf Ali Mollah member of University Grant Commission (UGC), Dr. Atik Rahman, Executive Director of BCAS, University Pro-VC Professor Showdhury Sarwar Jahan, Dr. Gaurang Chandra Mahanta project director of HEQEP, Dr. Mokhlesur Rahman senior officer of World Bank among others were present at the program.
Nine Researchers from Japan, Chaina, and Indian will address the function as special guests. Besides 238 research papers from home and abroad will be submitted at the program.
The conference is expected to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) by using the Bio-informatics and Bio-statistics in Agriculture, Health and Environment .
