Detective Branch (DB) police and RAB arrested four persons and recovered 477 bottles of phensidyl and 10-kg of hemp in two separate raids in the past 12 hours.The arrested persons are identified as Shafiqul Islam, 35, of Borobongram under Shahmakhdum thana under Rajshahi district, Md. Belal Hossain ,48, of Ramchandrapur Melkarpara, Md. Monirul Islam ,46, and Md. Rafiqul Islam ,46, of Bohorom Kokapara under Chapainawabganj sadar upazila.Inspector Hamidur Rashid of Detective Branch said, being informed, a team of DB police intercepted a private car at Nayagola under Chapainawabganj municipality at about 7.30 am today. At that moment, the driver of the car fled away but another person in the car shafiqul Islam was arrested and 477 bottles of phensidyl recovered.The RAB, before this, arrested Belal, Monirul and Rafiqul with 10-kg of hemp from Ghorapakhia under Chapainawabganj sadar upazila on Saturday night.Separate cases were recorded with Chapainawabganj sadar thana.-CHAPAINAWABGANJ (BSS)
