Two women allegedly committed suicide in two different villages under Pirganj upazila of the district on Saturday.
They are HSC examinee Ripa Rani, 19, and newly married Brishti Rani Roy, 22.Being informed by locals, police recovered the hanging body of Ripa Rani, daughter of Fulcharan of Thumnia village under Pirganj upazila of the district from her house on Saturday evening.In another incident, Brishti Rani Roy, 22, wife of Johon Chandra Roy of Matiani village under Pirganj upazila allegedly hanged herself from the ceiling fan of her house. Later, on receiving information police recovered the body from her house on Saturday afternoon.Officer-in-charge of Pirganj police station KM Showkat Hossain said the bodies were sent for autopsy.Two Unnatural Death (UD) cases were filed with Pirganj police station in this connection.-THAKURGAON(BSS)
