Four women rescued while being trafficked to India through Benapole

Police rescued four women while they were being trafficked to India illegally from Putkhali frontier here on Sunday night.
The rescued victims were identified as Ankhi Khatun, 21, daughter of Abu Khan, a resident of Jinnar Pukur village in Shenbagh upazila in Noakhali district, Fatema Khatun,20, daughter of Matlab Miah, a resident of Badarpur village in Lalmohan upazila of Bhola district, Mina Khatun,15, daughter of Abu Kalam, a resident of Mirpur-12 in Dhaka Cantonment area, and Nila Khatun, 19, daughter of Mohammad Hossain, a resident of Dampara village under Depar Pahar thana in Chittagong district.Sub-inspector of Benapole Port Police Station Firoz Ahmed said on a tip-off, a team of police conducted a drive in Baropota village in the border area and rescued the four women.
