A day-long free medical camp for the 1,000 poor patients was held at Samurbari village in Lohajang upazila on Sunday.The medical camp was jointly organized by United Hospital, Dhaka and Yunus Khan-Mahmuda Khanum Memorial Health Complex aimed at providing free medical facilities to the poor patients of the village on the occasion of Amar Ekushey and International Mother Language Day.
Some 50 heart, cancer, kidney, medicine, eye, child and Giyani specialists of the United Hospital treated over 1,000 patients during the day long free medical camp.Faridur Rahman Khan, managing director of the United Hospital, inaugurated the day long camp.In his inaugural speech, He said the united hospital has stepped up efforts to provide medical facilities at a minimum cost or free to the rural poor people of the district. -BSS, Munshiganj
