Police in a drive seized huge quantity of Indian clothes worth about Taka 20 lakh and arrested two persons in this connection from Nurpur area in Sadar upazila on Sunday.Mohammad Hamidul Alam, police super of Meherpur district, said on information a team of police intercepted a truck at Nurpur area on Meherpur-Mohajanpur road and seized 740 pieces clothes including three-piece and sari after carried out a search in the vehicle.The value of the seized clothes is about Taka 20 lakh, police said.
Police also arrested truck driver Swapan Hossain and its helper Shariful Islam in this connection. –BSS, Meherpur
