A gang of terrorists attacked the house of a Buddhist family in
Thakurpara of the city on Sunday night allegedly for refusal to
withdraw a case against them (terrorists).
The attackers also vandalised the house furniture.
The sudden attack was carried out at the house of Sugato Barua at
Battala near Thakurpara Buddhist Temple when Sugato was out of the
house.
Sugato’s family members said a group of terrorists equipped with home
made arms suddenly entered their house and vandalised a television and
some furniture at night.
The attackers also threatened to withdraw a case related to a land
dispute filed with local police station while leaving the house, also
said the family members.
On information, police visited the spot.
Officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station Mohiuddin Mahmud confirmed
the incident.
