‘Govt puts maximum emphasis on female education’

The present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has put
maximum importance on enhancing female education through various
effective steps including distribution of sub-stipends at various
levels.
Member of the Parliament from Rangpur-4 constituency Tipu Munshi said
this while distributing sub-stipends among degree level female
students at Kawnia Degree College auditorium yesterday afternoon as
the chief guest.
With Kawnia UNO Abdul Motaleb Sarker in the chair, upazila chairman
Anwarul Islam, vice-chairmen Rafikul Islam and Selina Akhter Talukder,
freedom fighters Sarder Abdur Rafik and Mohammad Suruzzaman, addressed
as the special guests.
Upazila Awami League leaders Mazed Ali, Hakibur Rahman and Abdul
Hannan, Principals Mofazzal Hossain, Joynul Abedin and Abdus Sattar,
Lecturers Abdul Jalil, Shafikul Islam and Ferdous Sarker Hera also
addressed the ceremony.
The chief guest distributed Tk 38,36,700 with Tk 4,900 among each of
the 783 beneficiary degree level female students of seven educational
institutions of the upazila in the ceremony moderated by Upazila
Secondary Education Officer Rabeya Khatun.
The speakers said the present government has achieved tremendous
success in enhancing female education through taking various effective
steps including distribution of sub-stipends among the female
students.
The chief guest called upon the beneficiary female students to devote
them to studies and know real history of the nation, their heroic
forefathers and the great War of Liberation
The present government has taken the education sector to a newer
height through various steps, including enhancing female education, to
achieve sustainable national development through building a medium
