Dupchanchia police arrested Jamaat leader from his residence at Choto
Dap area of Dupchanchia municipality of Bogra district on Saturday
evening.
The arrested person was identified as Jahidul Islam, 40, son of
Hafizur Rahman of the village and Shura-member of Dupchanchia
municipality Jamaat unit.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dupchanchia police station Riaz Ahmed said
he was one of the accused in five cases filed with the police station
on charge of attacking on police, vandalising and torching upazila
Awami League office and residences of the ruling party leaders in the
municipality on March 3, 2013.
The arrested person was sent to the court on Sunday morning and the
court sent him to Jail, added the OC. -Our Correspondent
