Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday directed the Awami League lawmakers to form committees in their respective constituencies to contain terrorism unleashed by the BNP-Jamaat clique.Sheikh Hasina, also the Awami League chief, gave the directives while presiding over a meeting of AL Parliamentary Party (ALPP) at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban here at night.
Meeting sources said the Prime Minister also asked the ruling party lawmakers to project the government’s success in different fields before the people.
While talking about upcoming city corporation polls in Dhaka and Chittagong, she said these elections are against terrorism and such polls have special significance as BNP is participating in the polls.
“So, the development works of the government would have to be projected before the people properly,” Sheikh Hasina said. – BSS
