HC rejects petition against quota in govt jobs

Dhaka,Mar 5- Some 1,010 Qawmi madrasa graduates Monday join government service for the first time as the Qawmi madrasa certificates got the government recognition.Chairman of parliamentary standing committee on the ministry of religious affairs Bajlul Haque, MP attended the three-day orientation workshop for the newly appointed teachers at Baitul Mukarram premises on Monday.The Qawmi ulema joined Mosque-based children and mass education activities (6th phase) as teachers. Recruitment of more 1,010 ulema is under process as the written and viva exam have already been completed, says a press release issued by Islamic Foundation Bangladesh.Speaking the orientation, Bajlul Haque termed accommodating the Qawmi madrasha graduates in the service historic one and said the government has generated their employment based on dawah.Director General of Islamic Foundation Shamim Mohammad Afjal, who presided over the function, said the government would recruit 3,030 teachers in three groups.Awami League’s religious affairs secretary Advocate Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah, MIsbahur Rahman Chowdhury, Sirajuddin Ahmed and Jubayer Ahmed, among others, addressed, the function.
