A high court bench comprising Justice Mirza Hossain Haider and justice AKM Jahirul Haque has stayed decision on cancelation of 3rd and 4th class employee’s appointment. The court also issued a rule as to why decision on cancelation of BAU employs recruitment should not be declared illegal.
Education secretary, BAU VC, register, deputy register, additional register and havebeen asked to return the rule within four weeks.Earlier on, 30 august the employees appealed to the High Court.
Barrister Md. Bodruddoza appeared on behalf of the petitioners and deputy attorney general Al-Amin Sarker appeared on behalf of state.
Barrister Md. Bodruddoza said that earlier on 26th February BAU authorities appointed 313 employees but on 19th August authorities cancelled appointment of 95 of the employees. Challenging the decision, 81 employees appealed a writ against BAU authorities. – From A Correspondent
