He came with the call while addressing the biennial conference of Mahanagar Puja Committee at Dhakeshwari National Temple yesterday

Slogan for the conference entitled ‘Build resistance to protect identity of the minorities’.

Syed Ashraf said it will be irrational to think Shekh Hasina’s government will sit idly at home if religious minorities are attacked.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Jatiya Hindu Mohajote (Bangladesh National Hindu Grand Alliance)” forming a human chain at the National Press Club yesterday demanded separate elections for the minorities.

Govinda Chandra Hawlader, secretary general of the organisation, said from national polls to municipality polls minorities are made political victims.

Leaders of the organisation also urged the government to bring the minority attackers into book.
