The Chittagong Students Association of Rajshshi University (RU) celebrated its silver jubilee on Friday through much enthusiasm and fanfare mood.Helaluddin Ahmad, divisional commissioner of Rajshahi, inaugurated the day’s program in front of the university Kazi Nazrul Islam Auditorium by releasing balloons and festoons as the chief guest at 9:00 am.
A colorful rally brought out from the place that terminated at the same point after parading through the main streets of the campus.
Following the rally, the silver jubilee cake was cut and a discussion meeting held at the auditorium.
RU Pro-VC Professor Dr. Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kazi Ashraf Uddin, assistant commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Sardar Tamizuddin Ahmed, RU Proctor Professor Md. Mazibul Haque Azad Khan, students adviser Md. Mizanur Rahman were present as the special guest.
A cultural function was held at Kazi Nazrul Islam Auditorium at around 5:00pm this day.
