Miscreants set fire to Kali Mandir at Kathak village in Nandigram upazila on Wednesday night.
Locals said the miscreants set fire to the veranda of the temple at midnight.
Seeing flame, local people rushed in and doused the fire, which did not cause any mentionable
damage.
There has not been any notable damage by the fire, Biren Chandra, president of the temple
management committee, said, adding that they informed police about the matter.
Shahjahan Ali, officer-in-charge of Nandigram Police Station, said they were investing the fire
incident.
