Leaders and activists of nine front organisations of Awami League on
Saturday condemning blaming Hasnat for defeat in BCC poll called Hiron
to refrain from such role and not to create factional division in the
party to give benefit for political rivals and opportunists.Hiron becoming mentally imbalanced after his defeat trapped under the
conspiracies of BNP-Jamat to give them benefits, AL-front organization
leaders said.
Leaders and activists of district Krishak League, Bangladesh Mohila
Awami League, Awami Jubo League, Jatiya Sramik League, Awami Ainjibi
and Bangabandhu Ainjibi Parishad, Bangladesh Jubo Mohila League, Awami
Swechchha Sebok League, Bangladesh Chhatra League, attended the
programme held at the district bar association.
Saiful Alam Gias, Sheikh Mizanur Rahman, Maher Begum, Ferdous Jahan
Munni, Zakir Hossain, Fazlul Karim Shahin, Shahjahan Howladar, Harunur
Rashid Talukdar, Advocate Anisuddin Shahid, Advocate Mojibir Rahman,
Advocate Nasir Ahmed Khan, Advocate Delwar Hossain Dilu, Kazi Manzuara
Gias, Jaglul Haider Shahin, Shahidul Islam Monir, Sumon Serniabad,
Abdur Razzak, Syed Shamsuddoha Abed, addressed the programme as
district leaders of those organizations.
Saiful Alam Gias, read out a written statement on behalf of those nine
organistions.
The participants and speakers of the programme said Hiron accepted to
AL , promoted to the city president post, nominated as 14-party
backed mayor candidate by the courtesy of the district AL president,
former chief whip Abul Hasant Abdullah.
Hasanat lost eight members of his own family along with the family of
the Bangabandhu for the ideology on August 15, 1975 and never changed
his ideology and loyalty to AL. So blaming him for the defeat of
AL-backed candidate is the betrayal with the bloods of that tragedy.
Politics should be followed by ideology, ethics, sincerity and logic.
It always has ups and downs, rise and fall, win and defeat in
elections. So we the activists of AL and front organizations and
followers of Bangabandhu shocked more by the statement and
anti-Hasanat role of Hiron , than the defeat of AL in BCC poll, the AL
front-organization leaders told.
The role of Hasanat for Hiron in election proved by the media report
and getting more votes in the northern city areas of Hasanat than the
southern city areas of Hiron, they noticed.
Mentionable , Shawkat Hossain Hiron, city AL president and defeated
AL-led 14-party alliance backed mayor candidate on June 18 holding
meeting of city AL and his election campaigners blamed Abul Hasanat
Abdullah, district AL president and cousin of party chairperson Sheikh
Hasina, for his defeat.
District and upazila leaders on June 20 protesting the stamentiment
Hiron said he lost his mental balance after defeat in BCC poll.
Hiron left Barisal for Dhaka on Friday night to visit party
chairperson Sheikh Hasina and explain causes of his defeats .
