Dhaka – A housewife allegedly committed suicide by pouring kerosene over her body and set herself ablaze at Borodhushia village in Brahmanpara upazila in Comilla on Friday afternoon.The deceased was identified as Shahinur Akhter, 38, wife of Rafiqul Islam, a resident of the village.Quoting locals, Shams Uddin Mohammad Ilius, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Brahmanpara Police Station, said that Shahinur, went to the rooftop of Bhorodhushia Adorsha College in the afternoon and set herself on fire by pouring kerosene.On information, a team of police rushed to the spot and sent the body to Comilla Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.An unnatural death case was filed.UNB news agency
