Dhaka- Bangladesh made their exit from the race of last-four berth of the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup losing to India by 131 runs in the 4th quarterfinal at Queenstown Events Centre in New Zealand on Friday.Bangladesh U19 side will play the 5th place play-off match against England U19 side at the same venue on January 28, while India U19s thru to semifinals with the day’s victory to face Pakistan U19s in the 2nd semifinal at Christchurch on January 30.In the day’s match, chasing a target of 266 runs, Bangladesh finished on 134/10 in 42.1 overs where opener Pinak Ghosh was the only notable scorer with 43 off 75 balls, including three boundaries.Afif Hossain (18), Robiul Haque (14*), Mohammad Naim (12), skipper Saif Hassan (12), Nayeem Hasan (11), Mahidul Islam Ankon (10) were the other double digit scorers for the side.Kamlesh Nagarkoti captured three wickets for 18 runs in 7.01 overs, while Abhishek Sharma (2/11), Shivam Mavi (2/27) and Anukul Roy (1/14) were the other wicket takers for India.India batted first after winning the toss and scored 265/10 in 49.2 overs spurred with two half centuries by Shubman Gill (86 off 94b; 9×4) and Abhishek Sharma (50 off 49b; 6×4).Opener-cum-skipper Prithvi Shaw added 40 off 54 balls, including five boundaries, while Harvik Desai (34 off 48b; 1×4) and Riyan Parag (15 off 22b; 1×4) were the other double digit scorers for India.Qazi Onik got three wickets for 48 runs in 10 overs while Nayeem Hasan and Saif Hassan bagged two wickets each for 36 and 41 runs in 8.2 and 10 overs.
