ICT issues arrest warrant to JP leader Kaiser

International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 has issued arrest warrant against Jatiya Party (JP) former lawmaker Syed Muhammad Kaiser alleging committing crimes against humanity during Liberation War in 1971.The tribunal comprising three members led by Justice Obaidul Hasan passed the arrest warrant on the basis of a prosecution appeal on Wednesday.
Tribunal ordered law enforcers to arrest Kaiser, also former state minister for agriculture, as soon as possible. It also directed investigation team to submit probe report to prosecution within one month.
Earlier in the day, state prosecutor Rana Dasgupta submitted arrest warrant appeal to tribunal’s office against Kaiser.
Prosecutor Rana alleged that the JP leader formed Razakars (Collaborators) forces in 1971 Liberation War. He was involved with killing, rape, arson and looting in Habiganj and Brahmanbaria district. banglanews24.com
