The International Crimes Tribunal-1 on Tuesday awarded death penalty to Obaidul Haque Taher and Ataur Rahman Noni for crimes against humanity in 1971 in Netrakona.The three-member ICT, headed by its chairman Justice Anwarul Haque, passed the order in presence of the accused.The ICT ended the hearing on the charges on January 10.Prosecutors were Mokhlesur Rahman Badal and Sabina Yeasmin while defence counsels were Abdus Subhan Tarafdar and Tanim Islam in the case.
