RANGPUR- The four-day “Prime Medical College Independence Day Cup Golf Tournament- 2016′ kicked-off at a colourful inaugural ceremony held at Rangpur Golf Club ground in Rangpur Cantonment today.More than 100 contestants of different Golf Clubs from allover the country have been participating in the male, female, junior and sub-junior groups of the tournament being sponsored by Prime Medical College (PMC), Rangpur.Rangpur Area Commander, GOC of 66 Infantry Division and President of Rangpur Golf Club Major General Md Masud Razzaque, ndc, afwc, psc, formally inaugurated the tournament by taking the TEE-OFF shot at 9 am as the chief guest.
Executive Director of Prime Medical College Professor Dr Md Akkas Ali Sarker attended the inaugural ceremony as the special guest.
Chairman of Prime Medical College Professor Dr Shahina Akhter, its Principal Professor Dr Nur Islam and Directors, military officials, officials of Rangpur Golf Club, participating golfers and local journalists also attended the ceremony.The final rounds of the tournament will be held at the same venue on the concluding day to be followed by distribution of prizes among the winners in different categories and cultural evening.(BSS)
