India offers to train teachers

India has proposed to train secondary and higher secondary-level teachers of Bangladesh in science, mathematics and English.Pankaj Saran, the Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka, gave the proposal after meeting Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Wednesday.
A media statement from the ministry said Nahid would consider the offer.
Saran praised Bangladesh for its headway in the education sector.
The Indian High Commissioner went to the Secretariat to invite Nahid to a three-day minister-level international programme ahead of the International Literacy Day in New Delhi. – bdnews24.com
