A seminar on “Islamic Economics and Banking” was held on Tuesday at the occasion of inauguration of 278th Branch of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited at Sonaimuri, Noakhali. The function was presided over by Md. Nurul Islam, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Development Wing of of the Bank. The keynote paper of the seminar was presented by Mohammad Ullah, Executive Vice President and Head of Noakhali Zone.
Dr. Mohammad Shameem Uddin Khan, Professor of Finance and Banking Department of Chittagong University, Mawlana Golam Kibria, former Principal, Chatkhil Alia Madrasaha and Mawlana Saifullah Munir, Principal, Sonaimuri Hamidia Kamil Madrasaha discussed the keynote paper.
Local elites and businessmens including Md. Hanif Mollah, Chairman, Chashirhat Union Parishad under Sonaimuri Upazila, Md. Hanif, Local Businessman were present at the seminar.
