Drama makers Palash Mahbub and Abu Hayat Mahmud have taken up a daunting task for the coming Eid. The task is none other than yet another highly promising mashup of singularly dominant actors. This time, Jahid Hasan, Chanchal Chowdhury and Nusrat Imrose Tisha have been brought together for the first time. The project will be a seven-part mini-serial to be aired on Bangla Vision daily from the day of Eid-ul-Fitr.This year’s Eid-ul-Fitr coincides with FIFA World Cup. As such the drama has been set in the backdrop of the coming World Cup. In reality it is a general family drama for everyone to enjoy, including those who are not too eager about football, says the scriptwriter Palash Mahbub. The theme of world cup has been chosen only to add to the light entertainment of the serial. “Though I am a fan of Argentina myself, the drama would not necessarily show bendings towards Argentina and against Brazil. I have merely tried to tell a relatable story that every one of us finds in our everyday lives, through the outline of FIFA World Cup.” Support for sports should not however be a deciding factor in our lives, that is one of the chief messages of this serial, Palash said to this correspondent.
In the drama the three star actors Jahid, Chanchal and Tisha happen to support three of the biggest names of football-Argentina, Brazil and Germany. Jahid the elder brother supports Argentina while Chanchal supports Brazil. As can be expected, Jahid and Chanchal will be shown to have differences for supporting two opposing teams. However another dimension will be added to their disagreements. They both are unmarried and by chance happen to fall for the same girl, played by Tisha, who in turn happens to support Germany.
Palash also related to a funny incident that happened prior to shooting. Jahid and Chanchal are both supporters of Argentina in their real lives. But Jahid got ahead by calling up Palash early to book the role of Argentine supporter.
