Jamaat demonstration demands release of Nizami

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami on Monday organised demonstration in Dhaka city to press their demand for release of party Amir Moulana Motiur Rahman Nizami.
A procession brought out in this connection from Mirpur road paraded through different roads in the city before dispersing following a brief rally, a press release said.The rally was addressed by Jamaat Majlis-e-Sura member Moulana Delwar Hossain. Jamaat leaders Mahfuzur Rahman, Sheikh Sharif Uddin Ahmed, Anwarul Huq, Solaiman Hossain and Mizanur Rahman were present among others.
In his statement Moulana Delwar demanded unconditional release of Moulana Motiur Rahman Nizami and alleged that there were moved to kill the Jamaat chief in a bid to get rid of opposition political leaders.
He said that the government would have to face he people’s court if their demand to release Moulana Motiur Rahman Nizami was not accepted. – the press release said.
