Police arrested a local leader of Jamaat-e-Islami at Kashipur Bablatala area of the town on Tuesday. The arrestee was identified as Maulana Abdur Rauf Ansari, publicity secretary of Pabna district Jamaat.
Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station Badruddozza said Abdur Rauf was arrested from his home in the morning. Rauf has several cases filed against him with the police station, including anarchy during hartal and blockade programmes. –UNB, Pabna
