Police arrested a local leader of Jamaat-e-Islami on charge of violence from Keramatnagar area in Barlekha upazila early Thursday.
The arrestee was identified as Alim Uddin,45, president of Dakkhinbhag Uttar union unit Jamaat and also a member of the union.Assistant sub-inspector Mehedi Hasan of Barolekha Police Station said they arrested Alim on charge of vandalising vehicles and subversive activities. -UNB, Moulvibazar
