Jatio Kobita Utshab 2016 ends with call for peace

The 30th Jatio Kobita Utshab 2016 of two days program ends last Tuesday held at Kakim Chatter of D.U. Jatio Kabita Parishad (JKP) organized with the slogan “Kobita Moitrier” and “Kobita Shantir”. Addressing at discussion of the national poetry program president of JKP Professor Dr. Muhammad Samad vice chancellor of University of Information Technology & Science (UITS) told “There is an intense relation between poetry and movement. He added poetry talks about dream, consciousness and determination. It is first started in the year 1987”.
Sajjad Qadir was conferred with the National Poetry Award-2016 and Belal Choudhury received award for recitation from the Jatio Kobita Parishad. About 250 foreign poets of 16 countries.
Poet Dilip Das from India, Bidhan Acharya and Chct Nath Kanel from Nepal, Poet Lee KuelShien, Lin Fo-er, Lee Ruo-Ying, Dr. Fang Yaw-Chien, Tai Chin-Cho, Ches Xiu-Zen from Taiwan, Larsh Haqer, Bengit Berg, Lotte Sederholms from Sweden, Erling Ktensen from Norway, Milan Richter from Slovakia, Benaissa Bouhmala from Morocco. Kabi Ashad Choudhury and Dr. Dipu Moni MP and former FM also attended the program.
Indian poet Dilip Das sayed If the verses of a poem lack the language of poetry, it will go in vain and become useless for the state.
The festival become a rendezvous for poetry lovers of all ages.
