Jhenidah ‘militant den’ raid resumes on SW Bangladesh

Dhaka, May 17 – The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) resumed their operation for the second day at a suspected militant hideout at Chuadanga village in Sadar upazila on Wednesday morning.The RAB resumed their operation around 8:30am, said Major Monir Ahmed of RAB-6.
Earlier on Tuesday, the bomb disposal unit of RAB recovered four bombs and two suicide vests from one of the two suspected militant hideouts at the village, RAB sources told journalists.
They had recovered two suicide vests also from a bamboo cluster near the house.
Members of the RAB along with local police cordoned off the two houses around 11:50 am, one owned by Selim and another by Pranto, adjacent to a camp of RAB-6, said the RAB official.
The RAB force also arrested the house owners from the spot. – UNB
