Dhaka, July 5 – Joint forces have launched anti-militancy operations in the remote char areas of three upazilas of Gaibandha district early Wednesday.Officer-in-charge of Gaibandha Sadar Police Station Mehedi Hasan said a team of police and Counter Terrorism & Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit began the drive in the char areas of Fulchhari, Sundarganj and Sadar upazilas around 6:00 am.
On Tuesday, the members of the joint forces arrested a suspected robber from the char areas, the OC added. – UNB
