Eminent journalist Zahiduzzaman Faruque has been admitted to United Hospital at
Gulshan in the capital for cardiac surgery under noted cardiac surgeon Dr. Jahangir
Kabir.
He needs an open heart surgery which will be performed by Dr. Kabir and his team.
Faruque has been working as a professional journalist for last 42 years. He is the editor
of first Bengali economic newspaper Dainik Arthaneeti and at present Bangladesh
Correspondent of Japanese news agency Kyodo News.
Faruque and his family have asked for prayer from all quarters for his recovery and the
surgery.
