A delegation of HM Ershad-led Jatiya Party lodged complaints with the Election Commission on Sunday against Awami League’s Barisal-2 candidate Talukder Muhammad Yunus. A six-member team, led by Jatiya Party presidium member and its office secretary Tajul Islam Chowdhury, submitted a letter to the EC secretariat at noon containing its complaints against the candidate. JP Presidium member Fakhrul Islam, joint secretaries general Selim Uddin and Shawkat Chowdhury and joint office secretary Abul Hasan Ahmed were among the delegation member. After lodging the complaint, Tajul Islam told reporters that they came to place some complaints against the AL candidate and discuss the overall election situation. – UNB
