Police on Wednesday night arrested a local Jubo Dal leader at Kalikapur village in Ramganj upazila.
The arrestee was identified as Faruq Hossain,30, son of late Nurunnabi Master of the village.
Police said Nurannabi was arrested from his house at about 10:30pm on Wednesday on charge of subversive activities during hartal and blockade programme of the opposition.
Meanwhile, police also arrested two people from Ramganj upazila, two from Raipur upazila, five from Kamalnagar upazila, and one from Sadar upazila in an overnight drive in the district on the same charges. -UNB, Laxmipur
