A local activist of Jubo League was chopped to death by unidentified miscreants in the city’s Tigerpass-Ambagan area on Monday midnight.
The deceased was identified as Humayan Kabir Prokash Murad, 28, member of convener committee of city unit Jubo League and son of Shahnewaj
Ratan of the area.Sub-inspector Pankoj of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police camp said a group of miscreants swooped on Humayan and chopped him with sharp weapons on his way back home by a motorcycle around 12:0am, leaving him injured.Hearing his scream, local people rescued him and took him to CMCH where doctors declared him dead around 12:30am. -UNB, Chittagong
