Justice Sinha’s corruption case report submission deferred

Dhaka, April 07 – A Dhaka court on Sunday deferred the submission probe report in a graft case filed against former Chief Justice Surendra Kumar (SK) Sinha.
Magistrate Sattyabrata Sikder of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka fixed May 16 for submission of the report in the case, as the Investigation Officer of the case, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) director Syed Iqbal Hossain could not submit the report on Sunday.
Earlier, on September 27, last year, former BNP leader and presently Bangladesh Nationalist Alliance (BNA) President Barrister Najmul Huda filed the case Shahbagh Police Station of the city against the former Chief Justice.
In the First Information Report (FIR) of the case Najmul Huda complained that SK Sinha took bribe of Tk three crore 25 lakh. – Correspondent
