Bnp chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has reiterated her call to law enforcing agencies to produce the party joint secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed before the court.
This was disclosed by Advocate Masum Ahmed Talukdar, the newly elected president of the Dhaka District Bar Association who along with the newly elected general secretary of the bar Omar Faruque called on Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan party office on Sunday.Masud Ahmed Taliukdar said the Bnp chief asked all lawyers belonting to the Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi forum to vote for its candidates led by the incumbent president Khandakar Mahbub Hossain in the Supreme Court Bar Association election by forgetting all misunderstandings among themselves. The SCBA election is being held on Sunday and Monday.
He said Khaleda Zia enquired about the state of the top leaders of the party, the cases filed against them.
Adv Masud Ahmed Talukder and Adv Moar Faruque went to seek Khaleda Zia for the first time after their landslide victory in the recent Dhaka Bar Association elecion winning 20 out of 25 posts. – Staff Reporter
