Khaleda thanks hasina for her gesture to share grief

Bnp chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia on Saturday night thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for expressing her sympathy at the sudden death of Arafat Rahman Koko.
Khaleda’s press secretasry Maruf Kamal Khan Sohel said this to journalists at Khaleda Zia’s office last night.Khaleda Zia who has been leading a lonely in the absence of other members of her family since 2008, was dumb-founded and deeply shocked at the news of demise of her second son Arafat Rahman Koko.
She was on sedative at the advise of her physician when Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina went to her Gulshan office at about 8-35pm, her special assitant Shimul Biswas told journalists at a briefing about 20 minutes before the arrival of the Premier.
Bnp sources said the sad news of her death was communicated to Khaleda by wives of her two brothers. Khaleda and her two sons faces cases of corruption during the rule of the last caretaker government. While Arafat Rahman was suffering from some chronic ailment, his elder brother Tarique Rahman was seriously injured by his captors.
The two sons of Khaleda were allowed to go abroad on parole in 2008. Khaleda was offered safe stay abroad, but she refused to leave the country and face what may come.

President Abdul Hamid, former president HM Ershad, Raushan Ershad, Islami Andolan Ameer Mufti Syed Rezaul Karim, Khelafat Majlis, Jamaat-e-Islami, wife of Prof. Ghulam Azam, National Awami Party (Bhashani), Khelafat Majlis, Kalyan Party, Samyabadi Dal Marxist leninist, NPSP issued messages condoling the death of Arafat Rahman Koko.
