The Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) announced reward in eight categories ranging from Tk 10,000 to Tk one lakh for information leading to the arrest of those involved in subversive activities.
Director General of Rab Benazir Ahmed made the announcement at a press briefing at Rab headquarters on Saturday.
During the briefing, the Rab chief said the force will provide TK 10,000 to those who will give the right information about people involved in hurling crude bombs and provide video clips or photos containing clear pictures of arsonists and pickets.Besides, Rab will give Tk 20,000 to those who will provide the right information about the ‘anarchists involved in petrol bomb attacks’ and TK 25,000 to those who will help capture crude bomb attackers.
Meanwhile, the people who will assist the force in arresting the criminals involved in hurling bombs, petrol bombs and vandaliseing vehicles following TV channel footage will get Tk 25,000.
The Rab force will provide Tk 50,000 to those who will share right information about the masterminds of crude bomb attacks and organisers and TK one lakh for sharing information about the planners of petrol bomb attacks and organisers.
Besides, Tk 1 lakh will be given to those who will assist the force in arresting the petrol bomb hurlers red-handed.
Earlier, the government on Wednesday announced to provide Tk 1 lakh as reward if anyone can help arrest ‘the anarchists’ involved in carrying out arson attacks and subversive acts during the transport blockade enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance.
