BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia will address a public meeting at Suhrawardy Udyan on Saturday to mark its National Revaluation and Solidarity Day.
BNP chairperson’s press secretary Maruf Kamal Khan Sohel yesterday confirmed that the party chief would join the meeting scheduled to be held at 2:00pm.Earlier on Friday, the former premier will visit the mazar of BNP founder and late President Ziaur Rahman to mark the day. She will place wreath at the mazar and offer fateha seeking eternal blessing for his departed soul.
Meanwhile, the meetings of standing committee, the highest policymaking body, advisory council and vice chairmen and joint secretaries have been deferred.
According to the rescheduled programme, the standing committee meeting will be held on November 13 at BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office at 8:00pm while advisory council meeting on November 10 and meeting of vice chairmen and joint secretaries on November 11.
Besides, Khaleda Zia will address a public meeting in Kishoreganj on November 12 and another public meeting in Comilla on November 29, Shyrul Kabir Khan, a member of BNP chairperson’s media team said. – Staff Reporter
