BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will attend a protest rally organised by party-backed lawyers on May 24.
Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum, a BNP-backed lawyers’ body, has planned the rally to protest the murder of fellow lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarkar in Narayanganj and spate of abductions across the country.The forum’s secretary general Mahbub Uddin Khokon said on Monday Khaleda Zia would be present as the chief guest at the rally on the Supreme Court premises.
Senior local lawyer Chandan Sarkar and six others were abducted from Narayanganj city on Apr 27.
Their bodies were found floating on the Sitalakhyya River three days later.-bdnews24.com
