Khaleda to exchange greetings with Hindu community Saturday

Dhaka: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will exchange greetings with members of the Hindu community on Saturday, marking the Janmashtami.
The programme will be held at her Gulshan political office around 830pm, her media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan told UNB on Thursday. UNB News Agency Reported.

Janmashtami, a religious festival marking the birth of Lord Sri Krishna, is being celebrated today (Thursday) across the country amid festivity and religious fervour.
In a message, Khaleda greeted the country’s Hindu community on the occasion and wished them happiness, peace and welfare.
“Bangladesh is a country of religious harmony. The people of all religions have been living here decades after decades with mutual affection and sharing a bond of fraternity,” she said in the message.
Mentioning that her party believes in the equal rights of all religions, Khaleda urged all to keep contributions from their respective positions to ensure a peaceful society removing envy, conflict, violence, discrepancy and injustice.
